A fine small portrait ofJohn Scott (1639-1695) who was a Church of England clergyman. He was rector of St Giles’s-in-the-Fields and canon of St. Paul’s Cathedral. He was also known as a devotional writer and defender of Anglican orthodoxy in his preaching.
