A wry and gentle series of caricatures on the hazards of horse riding. Annals of Horsemanship

As a gentleman amateur, Bunbury (1750-1811), took up caricature as a source of amusement rather than income.

 

A very large nosed man with a bundle under his left arm is riding his horse down a hill. He holds a very rustic rein attached to the horses neck.
