The street entertainer holds his seated assistant by the forehead with his left hand, in his right is his baton. By his feet lay a drum and other items. A crowd of onlookers watch expectantly. In the foreground an elegant man in military costume, being embraced by a woman from behind. Next to him stands a fashionable young lady with her child. Further along the crowd are a variety of spectators, including more rustic characters and a Turk.
