A fine portrait by the Flemish engraver Thomas de Leu (or Leeuw)
Active in Paris from around 1560 to 1612, he was a pupil of Jean Rabel and Antoine Caron. He devoted himself to portraiture and was considered one of the finest artists of his time. He died about 1620
