A rare half length portrait of the musician Edmund Thomas Warren (d. 1784). He wears a neat wig, lace cravat and dark coat, and point to a book which he holds on his knee entitled Reliques of Ancient Music. A composer of popular glees, catches, dances and Italian songs.
