A decorative three quarter length portrait of Letitia, wife of Sir William Beachamp Procter Bt. She is directed to the right, dressed in flowing robes and hair dressed very high in the macaroni style, adjusting a garland of flowers before a bust of Hymen. In the foreground on the right is an incense burner, and one of her small children peeps from around the back of the statue. Eldest daughter and co-heiress of Henry Johnson Esq. Of Great Berkhamstead, Herts. She married William Beachamp (d. 1773), who on the death of his maternal uncle took the additional name of Procter. She died in 1798. This portrait has been wrongly attributed by the National Portrait Gallery as Mary Palmer, who was her daughter in law, wife of her son Sir Thomas Beauchamp Procter.
