A half length portrait of the Viennese Burgomeister Stefan Norbert Edler von Wohlleben, enclosed in an oval. He wears a dark velvet coat, medal and sits at his desk, which is covered with scrolls and books. The painting is now in the Historisches Museum der Stadt, Vienna. Johann Baptiste von Lampi (1751-1830), was a Tyrolese portrait painter. Born at Romeno, he became a professor at the Viennese Academy, but was subsequently invited to Russia by Catherine the Great. He amassed a large fortune in Russia, and eventually retired to Vienna where he died.
