A satire on the fashion of the day.
A fashionably dressed man is walking down the strret wearing very wide trousers tapering in tight to his ankles. His jacket is unbuttoned from the top showing his decorated waistcoat and watch chain, his hands are in his trouser pockets. He has a very long neck and rears a top hat, his expression is of disdain. Just behind him a young boy stands with his spinning top, looking up at the man.
The title continues;
I always think some boy with string and spoon
Would like to wind you up and spin you
Now Sir, I mean to offer no offence
But seriously appeal to your good sense
If you indeed have such a thing within you
