Somewhat in the style of Richard Newto this rare caricature shows a pair of ladies facing each otherin a salon. The old, skinny lady on the left is moderately dressed and comes towards the lady on the right with both arms raised. The young lady on the right also walks towards the other. She wears an extravagant voluminous dress, with bosom almost obstructing her vision, and a huge wig topped with an elaborate hat. Between the pair is a side table with a mirror above, flanked by two side chairs
