Facing her a man in full military dress looks up as he tries to assist in retrieving her umbrella. In her left hand she holds a dog by the lead that is barking at the soldiers leg. The other couple, two men, walking to the right, one has lost his hat which lays on the ground, and his wig, which flies off before him. In the background can be seen figures struggling with upturned umbrellas.
