Full length portrait of the actress, born in Birmingham 1793. Started her career in 1804 appearing in Manchester with her sister as dancers.Her first appearance in London was made at the Royal Circus in 1810, and on November the 23rd of the same year she played for the first time at Covent Garden. Continued her career at Convent Garden and Dury Lane until 1822.She was small in stature, nervous, with her hair incling to red. In parts like Juliet she won favour by her prettiness and girlishness. To the last her dancing remained the special attraction. She died 30th December 1867 having long quitted the stage.
