Description

A very rare and charming mezzotint portrait. Greville Verney (a younger son of Lord Willoughby de Broke), sadly died at the early age of sixteen. He is depicted here, three quarter length, wearing a satin dressing gown with a scarf across his shoulder. He holds a mezzotint engraving in one hand and is pointing to Hudson Bay on a large world globe with the other.
