The cully, a thin, middle-aged man, stands terrified in a squalid bedroom between a bully (left) and a young prostitute (right) seated on a bed. The bully takes him by the shoulders, the woman picks his pocket. An overturned chair, a cat in a water-jug, and a rat eating from a plate on the floor add to the squalid disorder.
