A rare medical caricature. A grotesquely ugly old hag sits in an elaborately carved gothic armchair, by her roaring kitchen fire, using a huge carving knife to slice the corns off her distorted foot. Various implements and a bunch of garlic hangs in the chimney breast and her cat sits watching the flames. A bucket of water and a towel are on the floor beside her chair. BM 9584.
