Description

Elisabeth Cheron was sister to the famous French painter and engraver Louis Cheron. She gained considerable fame of her own as a miniaturist, she also left 59 engraved and etched plates. She was admitted to the Academy in 1672 and coverted to Roman Catholicism on her marriage to Jacques le Hay in 1708. She died in 1711.
