A wry and gentle series of caricatures on the hazards of horse riding. Annals of Horsemanship

As a gentleman amateur, Bunbury (1750-1811), took up caricature as a source of amusement rather than income.

 

A horse and rider have stopped by an Inn, a signpost is before them pointin in four directions. The horse seems to be clear which way he wants to go
