Napoleon stands atop a small hill, clutching a globe, inscribed, Europe, Asia Africa, in his left hand, his right outstretched and pointing away to the right.A tall officer, wearing exagerated costume is standing to his left writing ; Zweite Thal von Leben das grosse Kaiser Napoleon 1815. Below him, marching from right to left, are various characters, titled; Grand – Sapeur del’Empire, Grand – Tamboux de l’Empire, a very lean dog, Moniteux, with a sign hanging from his neck saying Bulletin der Grosse Armee. Above the dog, Gross – Receveur, Gross – Scheerer (Tondeur) der Reiche, followed by, Die gross – Eseltreiber des Reichs. A sheep carrying baskets is at the rear, with lables reading’ Contributionen von Sud Deutshland, Contributionen von Nord Deutschland.
