A wry and gentle series of caricatures on the hazards of horse riding. Annals of Horsemanship

As a gentleman amateur, Bunbury (1750-1811), took up caricature as a source of amusement rather than income.

 

Gambado rides stern faced, arms held high. Below the main title reads;

Lakes, forests, cities, plains, extended wide.

The pomp of Kings the shepherd humbler pride.
