A wry and gentle series of caricatures on the hazards of horse riding. Annals of Horsemanship
As a gentleman amateur, Bunbury (1750-1811), took up caricature as a source of amusement rather than income.
A rider and his horse are both startled by a pig laying on the ground before them. The horses front left leg has knocked into the slumbering pig, the horses head turned up, with mouth open wide. The rider, who has lost his hat, looks down astonished at the scene below
